Fight for your right...
...to be an asshole
I am not made to please anyone. I am ten times not made to meet anyoneβs expectations. And neither are you.
The Internot and its unspeakable dictatorship of belief and moral alignment has taken away the monopoly of morality once held by state and church. Today digital mass phenomena decide what is supposedly right and what is wrong. I have already typed my fingers raw on this, yet the alignment of the bipeds seems to progress further and further. Day by day, hour by hour belief systems dictated by algorithms are injected into the masses, and like by like they adapt to a norm that does not exist and would not be desirable in any case.
This does not only affect politics, religion and gender issues. It also enters the fields of art, literature, all forms of creative expression, matters of love and relationships, psychology, alternative lifestyles, esotericism, spirituality, in short every area of human existence. Individuality is pushed further and further into the background, even treated as if it were some kind of illness or something that had to be cured. Above all there is a compulsion toward positivity. Since avatars in the Internot rise out of their anonymity and constantly feel personally attacked, one is supposed to take them into consideration and choose words so that no one feels offended. That leads to completely absurd word creations, softened and polished by Internot censorship. The people who do this are as pitiful and pathetic as artists who censor their own work in line with Internot censorship, only to avoid being punished and banned from the Internot.
Does no one realize how frightening that is? In the past one learned in school, at least I still learned it there, that freedom is a precious good and that any restriction of this freedom is an expression of dictatorship and tyranny. An artist who does not stand for his work is not an artist, but a follower. Not a believer of a religion, sect, or any holy construct, but blindly chasing a phantom that ought not to exist in the first place.
Every time I see reports of CEOs of major computer or Internot companies I wonder how these emotional and spiritual amoebas could gain so much power. Especially since it is not real power built on strength, courage, or violence, but on a digital illusion. They decide directly or indirectly what may be said and believed, even though they have no clue about life. Hey, they spent their lives in front of computers shifting numbers and symbols on screens.
